With a 2 am start on an abandoned airfield in Ashbourne Derbyshire I had a plan involving a fleet of trucks, a cherry picker and some portable flash equipment!

Perched in the air on a cherry picker platform with a camera set on a tripod and a remote release for several battery powered flash guns. I began directing several people on the ground where I wanted the vehicles arranged. The resulting picture isn’t a simple one shot result but instead several pictures layered as a composite image. Each truck being lit one at a time as a series of 5 different images. Later post shoot the layers assembled over the top of one another in adobe photoshop revealing each lit image until one final image is revealed.
